Where’s Ramos?

Safely hidden in The Citizen Hotel is a rather scandalous work of art by Sacramento native Mel Ramos, one of the city’s most celebrated artists. Known best for his comic-book heroes and commercially inspired nudes, Ramos is celebrating 50 years of art this summer at the Crocker Art Museum. To commemorate the occasion, we’ve created a package to please both art fanatics and foodies alike—if you’re up to the challenge. If you can find the Ramos artwork in The Citizen Hotel, we’ll buy you and a friend dinner in Grange. Hint: you might encounter a scandal along the way, and ladies might need some extra help finding it. Once you locate the work of art, snap a picture of it on the sly and show it to the front desk to receive your dinner voucher. We promise it’s not hidden out of arm’s reach.

Package includes:

·  One night of deluxe accommodations in a king, queen or double room

·  One night valet parking with in and out privileges

·  Two Crocker Art Museum admission tickets where you can see the Ramos exhibit

·  Dinner for Two in Grange if you find the Ramos!

Click here to book this package.

Three Words for Dacia

When Sean Stueve asked if he could shoot part of a short film in our hotel, we were intrigued. Then we read the script, and were really intrigued.

Last weekend “Three Words for Dacia” premiered at the film festival A Place Called Sacramento. We are pleased to announce that Sean’s film won both Producer’s Choice and Audience Choice!

Without further adieu, allow us to present our first film cameo….not to brag, but we think we look pretty good.
